Question : I am taking amoxicillin, have been on it for three days now. As of last night I started experiencing mild stomach cramps and this morning had very watery diarrhea. Is there anything I should be overly concerned about?

Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but there is no need to worry as this is a common side effect of amoxicillin. it negatively affect the normal gut flora leading to diarrhea and cramps.. This is why your doctor advised to take probiotics to compensate for the lost gut flora.. In the meanwhile you just should continue your antibiotic course along with the probiotic and try to keep yourself adequately hydrated.. I hope you find this helpful..
