Question : Hi there, I am trying to get pregnant but have developed thrush and taken fluconazole to treat it today. I am on day 14 of my cycle, is it safe to try for a baby this month?

It is recommended to avoid getting pregnant and use contraception until approximately one week after the last dose of fluconazole. So yes, better avoid getting pregnant this month. The use of oral fluconazole has been proven to cause birth defects.
