Question : I am undergoing an IVF treatment. On CD5 scan, i had 6-7mm multiple follicles in both the ovaries and endo 4.4.
Injections I am getting are Gonadatropin 150 dosage.
Am I on right track, making a progress or not?
My AMH is 20.7 ng/ml, which is way too higher than normal fertility. Doctor has told me that chances are not great due to this very high AMH. She suggested me to go for donor egg. But this is my first IVF and I don't want to loose much hopes, so we decided to go with our own egg only. She kept me on medications for 2 months - Myo Inositol and metformin.
Now I have started my IVF cycle.
Right now , i am given injections daily for simulation.
And some multivitamin medicines along with ecosprin, metformin and dexona 0.5mg tab/day.
I am very worried about the results due to this high AMH.
Please guide.
Thanks
Tanima

                                    Brief Answer:
Possibility of OHSS
Detailed Answer:
HI
GREETINGS
You are on the right treatment. But as your AMH is very high ,should be under the care of your infertility specialist. As multiple follicles may be formed there is always a chance of Ovarian hypersensitivity syndrome which may need intensive monitoring.
HOPE your doctor would have suggested this to you.
Alternate days scan may be done and ovulation trigger may be decided according to the number of follicles.

                                    Brief Answer:
It depends
Detailed Answer:
It depends on the maturity of follicles and the number.
If enough eggs are retrieved then most probably Embryo transfer may be postponed in view of possibility of OHSS.
You will get your own eggs.not to worry.
Wishing you good luck.

                                    Hi
Yes i have alternate day scans planned under this IVF cycle.
I just want to know, in case there are right number of follicles retrieved, are there any further complications due to AMH?
My uterus and endometrium are normal.
The only big problem is my huge ovaries.
Thanks
Tanima

                                    Thanks doctor.
I just had my scan today, day 6 of simulation after 5 doses of FSH 150. Left right 1-1 follicle 10-11mm, multiple follicles 8-9 mm both sides.
Doc has increased the dosage to FSH 225.
Can I do brisk walking while this simulation phase for 5 kms or more? I have given up sugar for now and eating 2-2 wheat chappatis in dinner and lunch. Nothing else than this.
My BMI is 26.1. I think i would need to keep a check on my weight for better results.
Let me know your opinion.
Thanks
Tanima

Along with FSH225, from day 7 of simulation they have started GnRH 25 also.
I dont know if this is to prevent OHSS . I am really worried.
But let see how it goes.

possible
Detailed Answer:
They would have started it after FSH ,E2 AND LH ESTIMATION.
It is part of stimulation of ovulation.Have your dr suggested this to you about OHSS.
If so they are taking care of it.You can also discuss with them. There are many ways to over come.Need not worry.
