I am very nervous of my MRCP tomorrow. I am having consistent light color stool almost like a cardboard color. If there was some sort of malignancy would it have showed on my pancreatic protocol ct scan? I was just reading that ct scan and mri can n9t detect tumors smaller than 2cm. Is this correct? I am doing as you say and feel a bit better, but thr overwhelmning nausea and stool color is really making me nervous. Thank you Dr

I have actually found a way for you to view my scans. It is used in the app you would be able to access as long as I give you permission. I would just need your email address and I will give you a password and you will be able to view scans. Would you want to see my pancreatic pt ct scan in the meantime until results are back for MRCP?

While MRI works on concept of splitting of water in presence of high magnetic field which means that when water content is high(like a tumour because in it cells are multiplying rapidly and blood supply to that area is high;Indirectly more water in that area(as blood contains water) so possibility of MRI missing a lesion of 2cm is almost zero(unless the technician knows nothing or magnetic field produced by machine is faulty).
A CT scan however uses XRays from 360degree angle so chances of CT missing a lesion are much higher but as MRI splits water molecule to form images missing a lesion of 2cm is i don't think possible.
