Question: I am worried that I have some form of bipolar issue. I have gone from being in a good mood after having a good time to getting very angry with two of my adult daughters and not even really remembering some of the horrible things I said. I am a 70 year old male with 3 adult daughters with whom I previously always had a great relationship with. Thanks, XXXXXXX

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I am sorry to hear this from you.
I just wanted more details to get through diagnosis.
I wanted to know how long did this periods of elevated humour lasted.
Did you had any of these symptoms:

*Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity

Were you taking any drugs at that time?

Depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day

Markedly diminished interest or pleasure, nearly every day

Significant weight loss when not dieting or weight gain, or decrease or increase in appetite, nearly every day
