Question : Earlier today I asked a question regarding discoloration above my anus and in my buttcrack. I was told that it was a Mongolian Spot and I had accepted the answer, but upon looking up what it actually is, I realize that it is not it. I have included a diagram of what that could look like, but mine looks like it%E2%80%99s just in the %E2%80%9Cseam%E2%80%9D of my buttcrack, and the little dip right above the anus is that color too. Also the Mongolian Spot looks like it%E2%80%99s just on the surface, but min looks like it may go deeper, and the color is much deeper. I also tried to include a %E2%80%98reasonable%E2%80%99 picture of the discoloration. I%E2%80%99d like to know if this is something that topical lightening can fix, or is a laser necessary? Thank you.

                                    Brief Answer:
Using laser if you want may remove it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I see the pictures you attached and it looks like mongolian spot . It is true that mongolian spot is a bit lighter than the one you are having. It can be hemangioma too.
Also taking count that it has been there always ,since birth it can be mongolian spot or hemangioma.
I don't think treatment is required.
If you want to remove it you can use laser for both possible causes.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
