I Believe This To Be An Upper Respiratory Infection Or Possibly Bronchitis

Question: Hi, my name is XXXXXXX I have a 6 month old son who has been coughing an awful lot and it has led to a sore throat. Hes very congested and is wheezing. I have a humidifier going and he has been taking 1.25ml motrin every 6 to 7 hours. I am going to pick up some saline drops today with clean bulb syringe to try and help him. Is there anything else I can do to help ease his throat and get the mucus out? The wheezing really concerns me. I know everything these days seem to be about the covid 19 virus but I can assure you that this is not the case I have been tested many times this year all negative and I keep my son inside with limited visitors. I belive this to be an upper respiratory infection or possibly bronchitis. I just need someone to pint me I. The right direction.
Brief Answer:
Visit a doctor to check his lungs.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear ,
If he is having really bad coughing and wheezing it seems like he is having bronchitis.
If he is having these symptoms of cough and fever for 5 days and isn't getting better he should get checked by doctors listening to its lungs.
The doctor may prescribe antibiotics if needed .
You may use daphina leaves vapours as aerosol. Also clean nose with saline drops.
Keep him upright in standing position to help him breathe.
Hope I have answered the question.
