Brief Answer:
Can be due to mild nerve irritation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The sudden and painful spasms in the fingers is likely to be due to a mild nerve irritation in the area due to the callus formation after the fracture. The contractual in the hand needs a direct examination and may need a release surgery.
I hope this answers your query.
Regards.
