Question : I came down with a sickness 2-3 days ago. Was very sleep for about a day then there was a pressure in the chest day 2 just making it hard to breathe, but about 2 hours ago I woke up with pain in the chest and it’s only gotten worst in those 2 hour. Feel pain any time I touch my chest or breathe and pain killers don’t seem to help.

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms are not typical of the heart as the pain is triggered by deep breathing or touching on the chest.

Based on your description, it seems to be a musculo-skeletal pain or related to the lungs.

Anyway, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes.

In the meantime, I would recommend trying an antiacid or PPI (omeprazole). If this helps, you should consider gastritis as a possible cause underlying your complaints. In such case performing a fibrogastroscopy may be needed.
