Brief Answer:
Usually normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. It wouldn't be unusual to be able to feel lymph nodes under the jaw, especially if you are looking for them or begin to notice them once and keep thinking about them, but usually they are not anything to worry about. As you may know, they normally swell and get bigger with infections that involve that area, and then usually resume their normal size after the infection is cleared, but sometimes they can remain slightly enlarged or noticeable even several months or years afterwards. However, as long as they are less than 1 centimeter in size, not growing, and you are not having any other symptoms such as fever, night sweats, or weight loss, they wouldn't be anything to be concerned about or anything you would need to do something about.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
