Question :
I am 42 and I had a full hysterectomy when I was 28 years old due to cancer. I do not know much about hysterectomy I know that I still am still sexually active and I just got recently married and my husband and I wanted children. I can not carry children but I can come but does that mean the eggs dead?

Brief Answer:
Depends if your ovaries are intact
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Eggs are produced in ovaries. A few decades ago, the surgeons used to remove uterus alongwith ovaries. Later they started a more conservative approach in which they used to preserve the ovaries and vagina during hysterectomy. Please get a pelvic ultrasound done to see if your ovaries are intact or not.
