Question : Hi Doctor,
I did a blood test today and observed a slighter higher value of MPV than the expected.
The MPV is 13 fl and the range is 6.5 - 12. Anything alarming ? Rest all parameters are good in the report

Hi Thanks for posting the query
MPV means Mean platelet volume. Need not worry only this parameter alone is increased. It will happen if any recent unknown infection would have been there. Repeat the same investigation after 6 months.
