Question : I drank some red wine and woke up with inflamed red skin with little pustules. Is this a histamine reaction? How can I get it to go away?

It is a histamine reaction.
What is the site and extent of involvement?
I would recommend you to take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg twice daily and apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 3-5 days.
This will resolve your problem.

Topical steroid like triamcinolone acetonide oral paste can be applied thrice daily for 3-5 days.
This I don’t know whether is available as over the counter.

I don't have access to the triamcinolone acetonide cream over the counter here. I can only get it with a written prescription in my country. I have access to a 1% hydrocortisone cream. Will this be a good substitute to use topically? Thanks
