Brief Answer:
Do x-ray or MRI of lower back.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you may need to do a x-ray or even MRI of lower back to check which is the real cause of pain and conditions of your spine.
Most probably it can be a bulking disc in lumbar region which compresses the nerve roots that come out on right side of vertebral colon. The pain is most prominent at night.
Other conditions may be sciatica or radiculopathy a pinched nerve of spine causes by changes or injury in bones or cartilages causing pressure in nerve roots.

Taking antinflammatory drugs such advil or naproxen for pain is advisable.
Have rest.
You can use physical therapy later only as recommended by your orthopedist.
Microsurgery can be used in case of herniated disc.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
