Question : Hi There, back about 30 days ago while drinking moderately I was drugged and passed out for approximately 8 hours. After that I experienced retrograde amnesia for about two weeks leading up to the event. Also I have been having trouble hearing and been suffering generalized muscle weakness. Experienced significant loss in autobiographical memory after the event.I havebeen to the hospital 4 times for severe anxiety. Negative CAT scan but no MRI has been performed to date. Been experiencing disrupted sleep cycles as well. Thanks and have a great day

Brief Answer:
A brain MRI and Psychologyst's evaluation are necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

The problem with the amnesia may be explained by the temporary brain dysfunction by the use of the drugs and alcohol simultaneously.

CT scan is not so specific when it comes to subtle hypoxemi c damages, so, in my opinion, a brain MRI is necessary for a correct understanding of your condition, even in order to be sure that there was no structural damage to the brain.

Current problems may be linked with the anxiety, so, this issue should be addressed properly.

Cognitive behavior therapy and anxiolytic drugs should be used in your case.

So, you should see a Psychologist and you should have a brain MRI done.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
