Question : Hi.. I recently got diagnosed with Shingles.. but when I lifted my shirt he couldn't get away from me fast enough!! It's not a large outbreak... and it's on my left side by my ribcage... He didn't tell me what to expect or anything... just gave me acylovir script and basically left... I went in there thinking I had a UTI... and a rash... walk out with NO UTI and Shingles... imagine my surprise!! Anyway... I've been feeling so foggy... nauseous and my WHOLE body itches like crazy!! Worse than the actual sores hurt and itch UGH!! I'm having hot and cold flashes... ALWAYS feel like I have temperature but I don't!! I feel exhausted all dang day... is this normal?? How long will it last??

Hello dear,

Your symptoms see to to be related to herpes Zoster.
Please send a photo, so I can confirm the diagnosis.
It may last ten days to two weeks for full recovery.
Your symptoms are completely normal and related to Herpes Zoster.
Meanwhile, I suggest using Acyclovir cream for local application.
I also suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg to relieve the itching.
