Dr XXXXXXX I am talking to you on gastritis. I just needed to add that I did stop Nexium on Wednesday of last week. Just started taking 2 to 3 Zantac daily. Then 3.5 white wine friday and 2 diet cokes saturday as written before. Zantac does suit me nicely because I can take it when I have symptom in my stomach and it helps immediately. Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
ZANTAC is a H 2 blocker while NEXIUM is a proton pump inhibitor.
ZANTAC blocks only excessive secretion of acid while NEXIUM blocks baseline as well excessive acid secretion.
But OK,
I would suggest you to start with NEXIUM and please remain empty stomach for 30 minutes.
