Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to acid reflux.

For this reason, I would recommend taking an antiacid or PPI ( omeprazole, pantoprazole) before sleep.

If this helps, the next step to follow would be performing a fibrogastroscopy.

If this doesn't help,I would recommend performing further tests to investigate for possible causes which may trigger this situation:

- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalances
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring in order to investigate for possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best,
