Question : I got ankle surgery yesterday, arthroscopy, micro fracture and lateral ligament stabilisation with screws inserted. I was fine all day yesterday and last night and have come home from hospital and I’m in ALOT of pain is this normal?
Brief Answer:
Pain is normal after surgery.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Of course that having pain after the arthroscopic knee surgery is normal.
You didn't have pain yesterday because you were under anesthesia and painkillers .
Now the levels of pain medications in blood are lowering and you are having pain.
You can have painkillers for some more days to reduce pain and inflammation also.
Use ibuprofen.
Hope I have answered the question.
