Question: I had 2 lymph nodes removed under my left arm in October. No cancer found there. Same time a stage 1 tumor was removed via a lumpectomy. I still have slight pain/discomfort where lymph nodes were removed. Is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Usually normal if there are no other symptoms or signs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.

Noted the history about the removal of 2 lymph nodes from left axilla in October, no cancer - stage one tumor removed via lumpectomy - slight pain/discomfort where lymph nodes were removed.
My thoughts:
If there is slight pain or discomfort is present in the axilla, this is normal as the dissection causes fibrosis during healing. Scarring can have entrapment of small nerves that cause such symptoms.
Hence not to worry if this is the only symptoms.
I hope you have undergone further investigations and proper treatment with proper follow up.

I hope this answers your query.
