Question : I had ACL reconstruction surgery just over 3 months ago. They used my hamstring for the graft. From around 2 months I could walk fine without pain. Suddenly at just over 3 months I am feeling pain on the inside of the reconstructed knee whilst walking. What should I do?

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
It's possible that you may require some physiotherapy for the hamstrings as there may be some residual inflammation from the graft harvest site.
Do take Paracetamol for pain relief and apply ice packs. You could visit your surgeon alternatively.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

I have been having physio therapy and they were happy with how it has been going they wanted me to strengthen my quads as I lost of muscle since the injury. I haven’t taken any paint relief since about 2 weeks post op as I’ve had no issues. I’ve been workout out 5 times a week though training legs 2 times as recommended. Everything has been fine just suddenly I feel some discomfort when I walk which is new for me.

Hamstring spasm
Detailed Answer:
If there is no difficulty in complete knee extension then it could just be Hamstring spasm which should get relieved with regular physiotherapy.
