                                    Brief Answer:
Tachycardia possible due to traumatic stress
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think this is directly related to trauma of neck and head you had 22 months ago.
The only connection may be related to traumatic stress and anxiety.
Most probably this is arythmia you are experiencing. Doing an electrocardiogram or even ultrasound may be advisable. You should monitor it.
You may need to take B blockers to keep it under control. Atenolol may be advisable.
Hope I have clarified your concern.
Let me know if I can assist you further
