Question : I had a minor accident last Friday and I fell down from my 2 wheeler. The upper posterior part of my thigh got injured where the muscle has developed swelling. Initially I applied an ice pack which reduced it. But as and when I have started walking the swelling comes back. I do not have any difficulty in walking however. The swollen area is sometimes turning blackish and redish.

                                    Brief Answer:
Seems soft tissue injury
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There seems to be some soft tissue injury. Since it gets worse with walking there maybe some rupture of muscle. And it requires complete rest to get better by using a crutch on affected side. A thigh brace maybe helpful. Check your size and suitability at local pharmacy.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks for the advice Doctor. I will keep my legs in rest and use the thigh brace.
