Question : I had alopecia and in the spot that grew back, the hair has turned black in the shape of a ring.

                                    Brief Answer:
Photograph required
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Your description suggests that you have developed alopecia aerata
The new hair grows in ring pattern and slowly covers the patch.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis and better way of management.
Thank you

It affects only black hair
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
Alopecia aerata affects only black hair while grey hair are spared.
The disease would have caused loss of black hair which are now in regrowth phase.
Just relax over a period of time the color will match with surrounding.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Thank you
