Question : I had arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and now felt a lump in that armpit I am also in a immobilizer sling

                                    Brief Answer:
Can be due to hematoma formation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The lump in the armpit after an arthroscopic repair can be due to a hematoma. This needs a direct examination to find the cause. In case the lump is painful then an infection needs to be ruled out. If the lump is hard and persistent then an MRI scan will help in proper diagnosis.
I hope this answers your query.

                                    Brief Answer:
Not related to inability to wash the area.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The appearance of the lump is not related to inability to wash the area. This can be a hematoma or a swollen lymph node. This needs a proper examination to find the cause. As it is painless it is not likely to be any serious issue.
