My dr did blood tests for mono and anything else that might cause these symptoms- diagnosis was a virus that just needed to work itself out of my system. But I'm very concerned because these symptoms have come back.
Brief Answer:
Chronic fatigue syndrome possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
According to the symptoms you are experiencing it seems like you are having chronic fatigue syndrome.
It normally happens after a viral infection and different viruses such EBV, herpes virus 6,HIV, rubella etc.
The main symptoms are fatigue, tiredness, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes etc.
It is good that the tests you did are normal and exclude anemia or hypothyroidism which can trigger it.
There is not much to be done just take antinflamatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen.
Try to keep hydrated and also taking vitamin C may help..
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello, again
I have NOT had any of the Viruses you mentioned.
However, I did have Total Knee Replacements in both knees- 1 in Oct 2017 and the other in Dec 2017. Both surgeries were successful and I have excellent mobility.
Is it possible there is some other cause for the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Such as stress from work-including losing my job in May of this yr? However, I did find another job before leaving my previous one; Also, have been dealing w/spouse who is a recovering alcoholic and other ups and downs of the marriage. Thank you for your response. Brief Answer:
More related to post viral fatigue syndrome.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear XXXXXXX and that you for asking again.
I thought it could be chronic fatigue syndrome possibly post viral fatigue syndrome because you mentioned that you had a viral infection. I just mentioned only some of the viruses but even other types can cause it.
I don't find the situation much related to previous knee replacement surgeries.
It can be related to stress in general and of course to work problems and family issues you mentioned. They all contribute to being not good but I find situation more related to the viral infection you had previously.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards
