Question: I had hemeroids and never before. I thought my. Omg was diving in hospital nex morning I had big blisters on my butt painful preparation h has healed them I drive during day they get sore. About size of a rasberry
They don’t seem to heal been a week

Hi,

I understand your problem.
There are many variants of Preparation H. Please look at the ingredients that the one you used contain.
Does it have steroid (Hydrocortisone) and Phenylephrine, they mostly does the job of reducing the congestion. Besides Lidocaine reduces the pain. Check the version of Preparation H that has hydrocortisone as its only active ingredient, in a 1% concentration. Again, hydrocortisone reliably reduces inflammation and swelling.

If the over the counter preparation H is not helping the next thing is to go for preparation based medication which have stronger ingredients with Nifedipine and Lidocaine.
I suggest you to do sitz baths in warm waters by keeping the butt in the basin of warm water adding some antiseptic and lidocaine cream. This helps the pain.
When you travel try to used a horse shoe shaped cushion in the car.
