I Had Recent Bloodwork Done And My Lymphocyte Pct Was

default
Posted on Sat, 8 Feb 2020
Question: I had recent bloodwork done and my lymphocyte pct was 50% and abs was 3.7 (lab ref range was 0.9-2.9). In november, it was elevated at 3.6 when I had my annual check up but doc didn't mention anything. Now it is 3.7 when I had to go to ER for some left arm pain (everything was negative - they think it was just anxiety). The doctor never mentioned it being high and I'm not sure why because when I look it says leukemia. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Lymphocytosis

Detailed Answer:
Dear,
Mildly increased lymphocytes does not mean you are suffering from leukaemia. A body infection can also cause this. To rule out your concern I need your complete history of symptoms, complete physical examination for any lymph node enlargement and any sign of organomegaly. followed by complete blood count and perepheral smear examination. Once I have these details if need be further investigations may be asked for. I Please follow with your Primary physician. I will be be happy to advise further if given the details.
