Brief Answer:
Get a throat swab culture done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thanks for writing to us.

Well, recurring inflammation in tonsils or Tonsillitis can be due to infection while it can also be due to acid reflux as the acid can regurgitate to the throat and cause irritation and inflammation.

Also, redness of tongue or Glossitis can be caused by infection as well as Acid reflux.

So you should get it clinically checked.

You should consult an Emergency room or an Otorhinolaryngologist and get a throat examination and a throat swab culture done to rule out infection.

For now, do warm saline gargles.
You can also suck cepacol lozenges to reduce pain.
Take Digene syrup half an hour before meals.
Avoid spicy foods.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
