Question : I had the mirena inserted in mid February. Every since I’ve been spotting. I had sex for the first time last week and my discharge is now a brownish colour. My hymen was broken in surgery in February and it doesn’t look like the that kind of bleeding. It’s similar to when a period is ending. What could this mean? Should I be bleeding for much longer? Is it possible I’m pregnant?

The mild spotting that you are having can be due to Mirena that has been inserted. This is not suggestive of pregnancy.
The mild spotting usually stops on its own in 2-3 weeks. In your case it is persistent. You can consult your gynecologist and get some hormonal tablets prescribed to stop this bleeding.
