Question : I had travelled to a near by town which is a very dry area. I started feeling severe burning sensation in feet and moderate pain around the periphery of feet below ankles. I stayed there for two days and throughout I felt this. Now that I am back to my town, the pain has gone and the burning sensation has reduced to a great extent. I feel mild burning sensation when I touch my feet periphery now. Just to let you know, while I was there, I experienced severe acidity and took Omez 40 in the mornings before breakfast.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the image.

You seem to have severely dry skin of your feet which seems to be causing these symptoms. Pain is due to crackin and fissuring of dry skin.. I suggest you to use an intensive moisturizer e.g either Venusia XXXXXXX cream or Olesoft XXXXXXX cream, twice daily for a few days.
