Question : I had unprotected intercourse 2 days before my scheduled date for periods and then took an Emergency pill within 16 hours of intercourse. It has been 10 days since then and I keep feeling how I usually feel at the beginning of my periods but there's no bleeding at all.Is there a possibility that I could get pregnant? How long can the pill delay the periods?
Brief Answer:
Pregnancy unlikely....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Apparently you had intercourse 2 days before schedule period. It's a safe period of cycle. You further reduced chances by taking emergency pills. Therefore pregnancy is highly unlikely.
We do not have any means to know how long emergency period would delay period. There are multiple variables. So if period don't resume in the next 2 days, I would consider starting medications. Norethisterone (aygestin) is a prescription drug used for inducing period. A specific dosage will be prescribed you for 3-5 days. Period resume upon stopping medicines.
Your local doctor will know about this medicine.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
