Question : A little over a month ago I had unprotected sex for the first time with someone that I don't know. I have been in a long-term relationship for four years and after a night of drinking I ended up cheating on my partner. Two days after i cheated i took plan b, and a week later I went into the doctor because I was very paranoid about STDs as I've never done anything like this before. Everything came back normal besides a yeast infection, I was prescribed 2 fluconazole pills. everything seemed fine until now i'm feeling like my discharge is thicker and has a flakiness almost. it's small chunks and dry. i have no other symptoms at all, just the discharge. i am very paranoid about the whole situation and have a picture of the current discharge. my concerns are the discharge and i'm also wondering if i should go get re tested for things or are std tests after a week accurate
Brief Answer:
I think it is a persistent yeast infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I think the discharge ( I saw the picture) is like a yeast infection discharge , white, flaky and thick like cottage cheese.
Some STD come in tests later than a week.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia need 2 weeks to show in tests, and HIV, Hep B and C need from 6 weeks to 3 months to show.
Maybe you need to be rechecked for them.
You can take again fluconazole pill together with metronidazole or clotrimoxazol suppositories and then use lactobacillus suppositories to establish the vaginal flora.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
It looks a typical yeast discharge, do a yeast test to confirm it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again. I think you took the azithromycin with no purpose because tests were negative and using the antibiotics favourites the creation of yeast infection.
Yeast infection doesn't have many symptoms just discharge and itching.
Your discharge looked typically yeast infection.
You can do a test to confirm it.

one last question, because of my paranoia of hiv, if let's say I was getting yeast infections because of hiv, wouldnt my test say i had hiv if i was showing symptoms even if i tested early?
