Exercise suggestions explained below in detail.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

Full sit-ups or lightweight are not recommended because they put too much pressure on the spine.

There are many exercises that you can do.

I may suggest:

1) Walking is a suitable exercise for spinal stenosis.

Walking on a treadmill on a slight upward incline is also a safe activity.

2) Swimming is also an ideal exercise because it exercises all your back muscles in a supportive environment.

3) Cycling is also very helpful.

4) Try stretching while laying down.

Hope I have answered your query.
