I Have A Sore Throat With Red Spots With White
Probably tonsillitis, follow the advice below
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I already reviewed the attached report.
Your symptoms seem to be tonsillitis which is an infection of the tonsils.
I recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest using an antibacterial throat spray and gargle with salty water.
Oral antibiotics may be needed to treat the infection.
I suggest using Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for a week.
This is a prescription medication, so you should consult your general physician before taking it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards!

I just returned from seeing a doctor and he advised it doesn’t look like it’s infected And gave me a spray for it
Difflam forte
I did vomit a lot of acid yesterday so he believes it is likely that and have burned my throat
Do you think it is that? Sorry I should have explained further before but would like to ask your opinion on this
The symptoms can be related to stomach acidity.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,
If you don't have a fever or swollen glands it is unlikely to be an infection of the tonsils.
Stomach acidity can cause burning and redness in the throat .
So, I agree with your doctor that the symptoms can be related to stomach acidity.
Are you taking any medication to treat the stomach acidity?
If not, I recommend to use antacids such as Maalox three times a day.
I also suggest to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such as spicy food or caffeinated drinks.
Hope it helps dear,
