Question : I have a broken hip, displaced fix., that started as stress fix. I had a cortisone injection and am being told I have to wait 3 months before it can be repaired, is this normal?
Brief Answer:
It is better to wait for three months.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After a cortisone shot the strength of the ligaments becomes lesser and the tissue may become weaker. It is best to wait for three months and let the tissue become stronger before you go for the surgery.
I hope this answers your query.
