Question : I have a hiatus hernia and my acid reflux is really bad at the moment and taking omeprazole 20mg in the evening and 40mg in the morning but it isn’t helping would I be better changing to esomeprazole?

                                    Brief Answer:
It is a good idea to change to esomeprazole.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I believe it is better to change to esomeprazole which is a stronger PPI than omeprazole.
You can take esomeprazole (nexium) 40mg twice daily.
Also you can use other antiacids such maalox or mylanta.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
thanks.

Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
GERD can make you feel tired especially if it makes you wake up during the night because of cough and pain.
Also, antiacids may cause fatigue feeling.
