Question : I have a pain in my left knee while climbing stairs. It is less pronounced when I descend . The knee looks normal. It is not swollen.
Brief Answer:
it could be osteoarthritis
Detailed Answer:
hello,
this could be osteoarthritis, or sprain in the knee.
it should be rested, application of diclofenac gel, warm fomentation can help.
once the pain is better knee strengthening exercises should be done to strengthen the knee.
an xray of the knee in standing position will help us in knowing the status of the cartilage.
hope that helps
