Question: I have a past history of brain lesions (as in about 15 years ago) discovered by MRI when my doctor ordered the scan during a nasty bout with depression and anxiety. Lately I have had pretty severe short term memory issues. I have also started having severe pain on the entire bottom of my left foot. It burns and feels like a pins and needles sensation. It's only the left foot. Two nights ago I was preparing to go to bed and I thought I was going to choke because I was unable to swallow. It was as if I just couldn't make that part of my throat work. My throat doesn't hurt. I just couldn't swallow. So I got up and put water in my mouth and tossed my head back to make it go down. I have also been getting urinary tract infection much more often. I am a 49 year old woman.
