Question: I have a premature heart beat, which according to my cardiologist was present since I was born. Mild schizophrenia also runs on my maternal side of the family. I would like to try shrooms and was wondering what the risks are to my heart and whether it would make me more prone to schizophrenia

Although there are no major studies proofing the effects of magic mushroom on heart. However there have been case reported showing cardiac Arrhythmias in individuals using magic mushroom.

Same goes with it’s psychological effects also. So as a clinician it’s not advisable to use these mushrooms when you are genetically susceptible for psychological issues.
