Question : I have a question about genital herpes. is genital herpes in a man always found on the shaft or the head of the penis or can it be found in the pubic hair region as well? i%E2%80%99ve just discovered several little pearl looking blisters around my pubic hair region they don%E2%80%99t itch and they don%E2%80%99t hurt and several of them have gone away and are healing but there is no ulcer looking scab it%E2%80%99s just red dry healing skin in the area which they were. These blister are only found in my pubic hair region I have none on the shaft or the head of the penis. does this sound like genital herpes?
Brief Answer:
It can appear anywhere in the genital region
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Genital herpes can occur anywhere on the genitals, in areas around the groin or pubic area, and in or around the anus also. However, they are common in the penis.
If there is a history of unsafe sexual practice, the possibility of genital herpes must be considered. Other causes like recurrent boils or folliculitis can also present with similar symptoms.
It will be helpful to review in details if you please attach a picture in the follow-up query.
