Brief Answer:
Miss the next dose

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Sertraline have a half life which extends mostly beyond a day (22-36 hours). It means that the dosing can be spaced to about 30 hours if required without any risk of withdrawal symptoms.

Since you have already given the dose by accident it is expected that the level of sertraline will be slightly higher than routine levels so I do not see any harm to space the sertraline dose by 36 hours.

I mean to say that the next dose can be missed and the further treatment need to be continued as per the recommendation of your doctor.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
