I Have A Reoccurring Problem Of Sudden Hot Flashes Out

Question: I have a reoccurring problem of sudden hot flashes out of nowhere. I'm a 29 y.o male, drink occasionally - usually socially. Smoke cigarettes regularly and weed sometimes. One minute I'll be fine, and the very next minute I've got an empty feeling in my gut or what seem like air pockets? Not sure on that, but I'll have like an empty stomach feeling, and I'll sweat so much it's like I just walked out of the shower. Then immediately following I'll be freezing because now my clothes are soaked. Rinse and repeat sometimes up to 5 times back to back. Very dizzy and sometimes legs very weak when trying to walk in that condition. Any idea what's going on with me? Could it be genetics? Mom was an alcoholic who committed suicide, and her dad was an alcoholic as well.
Brief Answer:
Hyperthyroidism or smoking and alcohol consumption may be causes
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear , welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I would suggest you to check thyroid hormone levels because hyperthyroidism may be a cause.
You should check T3, T4 and TSH levels.
Also alcohol consumption, smoking and weed consumption may be causes for hot flashes.
You should stop consuming this substances in order to get better.
The alcohol consumption isn't known to have hereditary factor so you don't have it inherited by mother and grandfather.
