Brief Answer:
Muscle pain more likely...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This type of pain or rather the location of pain is not very common with arthritis. Arthritis commonly affect joints and lower back. So going by symptoms or rather based on the location, I do not favor arthritis; more likely a muscular pain. I'll suggest starting over the counter pain killers with antacid (to cover for pain killer induced hyperacidity) along with moist heat application.

If the pain doesn't resolve with aforementioned treatment, I'll recommend seeing your primary doctor to evaluate for specific cause and to rule out neuropathic pain.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
