I Have A Thrombsome Hemmroid It’s The Size Of A

I’ve had it 2 weeks and it still hurts and I don’t think it’s gone down much in size
I eat lots of fiber and have been using a Mira-lax drink powder a dr told me to use.
He said lancing it isn’t a thing and to let it heal naturally. I’ve been trying to not work out or do much but it still hurts really after almost 14 days
Should I get it landed will it eventually go away? It was feeling better and was getting smaller now it’s big and hurts again and I haven’t been straining on light push when having a bowel movement...
Chances of it to eventually go away by proper conservative therapy is 60% only best approach is surgical excision.
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Firstly thanks for selecting health care magic to ask your query.
Basically there are three sorts of approaches for you.
You are already trying conservative approach but even with addition of few more thing chances of hemorrhoid to get necrosed(dead) in n ext three month is some what about 60%.
The best approach for you is surgical which is more then 90% successful.
Details are given below
Three types of approaches for you are -
1)Conservative
2)Non invasive
3)Invasive surgical
Primary option for you is to give conservative management a try for minimum 3 month-
1)Start using Prepration H (a combination containing contains Calcium Dobesilate, Hydrocortisone, Lignocaine, and Zinc.) locally over the prolapsed hemorrhoids.
2)Request your gastroenterologist to prescribe you with oral Calcium Dobesilate-Doxium therapy for 3 months. Initially twice daily for 21 days followed by once daily for 10 weeks. Trials have shown that 3-month therapy can cause shrinkage of Hemorrhoids in almost 60% cases.
3)Sitz bath
4)Continue taking laxative and fiber.
If not relieved by it in 3 months then Noninvasive methods are tried like-
Rubber band ligation: Rubber band ligation (RBL) is a simple, quick, and effective means of treating hemorrhoids. Ligation of the hemorrhoidal tissue with a rubber band causes ischemic necrosis and scarring, leading to fixation of the connective tissue to the rectal wall or go for Cryotherapy which ablates the hemorrhoidal tissue with a freezing cryoprobe. It has been claimed to cause less pain because sensory nerve endings are destroyed at very low temperature.
In case if this is not successful then we have invasive surgical procedures like-
Hemorrhoidectomy: Excisional hemorrhoidectomy is the most effective treatment for hemorrhoids with the lowest rate of recurrence compared to other modalities.Success rate is more then 90%.
However as said earlier best one is surgical approach.
Hope I provided you with the information you wanted.
