Question : I have a uti and have been taking Macrobid for 3 days now (6 doses) but I have this persistent pain in my right side. I’ve had it off and on for a couple weeks but today it’s worse and more constant. Would this be related to the uti? Should I go back to the clinic or finish my antibiotics first?

                                    Brief Answer:
You should do ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
I suggest to visit clinic and do ultrasound to rule out appendicitis, kidney stones or right hydronephrosis. However, most commonly this is urinary infection and it should improve on antibiotic therapy. But if you have some concerns you should do ultrasound and lab tests. Wish you good health. Regards
