Question : I have an immune deficiency and I started a new medicine today called "Cuvatru." My blood pressure is normally very low (96/54- 108/65). It keeps spiking this evening to upwards of 140/104. I also have supra ventricular tachycardia. It goes back down pretty quickly, but this is scaring me. I would like to avoid the emergency room. What could this be? I'm worried I might be having a weird reaction to the medicine.

After going through the medical query raised by you I can understand your concern for your health and I would like to tell you that Cuvitru is basically an immune globulin used in the treatment of primary immune deficiency. However this medicine can have various side effects. So I would like to suggest you to kindly discuss this with your doctor who has started the medication.

For fast heart rates I would like to suggest you to kindly get the following test done
1. Holter monitoring
2. Echocardiogram
3. Thyroid function test
