Question: I am vacationing in Roatan, Honduras and got an insect bite on my ankle that has resulted in a very large blister - about the size of two eraser heads. I want to know how to treat the blister - soak in hot water, cold compresses, ice, etc? I have been applying triple antibiotic ointment to it several times a day. I have had the bite and blister for 24 hours. I normally respond poorly to bug bites. Thank you

I see the picture you attached and the bite is red and a blister has been formed .
It seems like a chigger bite.
You can use cold compresses on it and also use hydrocortisone cream 1% on it.
Hydrocortisone can help better then triple antibiotic ointment you have been using.
Also you can use antihistamines such citerizine for itching.
