Question : I have been dealing with right upper flank pain the last couple weeks. It hurts more this morning and has caused me some breathing difficulty. I have no fever or difficulty urinating. I played 18 holes of golf 3 days ago and started having flank pain after nine holes.

Since you developed pain after physical activity, muscle pain is the most likely cause.
You can take acetaminophen/Ibuprofen and apply warm compress for relief.
The other possible causes are gallbladder disease and peptic ulcer disease.
An ultrasound scan of the abdomen will help to diagnose gallbladder disease.
Peptic ulcer disease can be diagnosed with endoscopy.
