Question : 5 days ago I took 50 mg of Hydroxyzine for my anxiety after drinking 100 mg of caffeine, and since that night I have been experiencing what I just learned is Persistent Psychogenic XXXXXXX Vu and it is very frightening to be caught in this fake time loop even though I can discern it as fake. It gives me very uncomfortable tingles/chills in the back of my head and my heart rate skyrockets to 130 bpm. I want to know how to break free from it, I haven’t taken any more medication since this Monday when I took the Hydroxyzine, and it is now Friday and I have been stuck. Please help me.

Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.Barani.
Though medications can cause Vu like symptoms, the medications you have taken have very short half life and by now would have got completely eliminated from the body.
So it is more likely that anxiety and probably stress is responsible for your symptoms.
Treating anxiety and stress is the key.
You can start with simple methods like deep breathing exercises, mindful breathing/meditation/yoga for relief from anxiety, stress and the associated Vu symptoms.
Regards,
Dr.Barani
